SoHo

Spring is almost already here yet the cold insists in staying with us for a little longer here in New York, so I decided to wear a pair of boyfriend jeans with one of my absolute favorite furs from Zadig and Voltaire! My last purchase during this weekend is the RetroSuperFuture sunglasses which I am absolutely in love and obsessed with this Italian handmade brand of sunnies that recently opened in SoHo. Every single day I get more and more amazed with the big apple, it has so much to offer and the best part is that each neighborhood is so different from one each other that it almost feels like you are in a completely different place.

Since I did this shoot in SoHo I am going to confess some of my favorite places to shop around here! Broadway which is the principal and main stream of the neighborhood is filled with renewed brands from beginning to end, but I think that the little streets like Greene, Thompson or Mercer among others are what makes this particular place so special. I have so many brands that I love that I often go shopping here, but if I had to narrow it to a few I would say you shouldn't miss this ones: All Saints, Zadig and Voltaire, Open Ceremony, Rag and Bone, RetroSuperFuture, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander Wang, Alexander Mcqueen AshItaly, Barneys and the list goes on and on forever! The little and vintage stores are a must around here. Of course SoHo is not just filled with stores, it's also full of galleries, cafes and little and interesting places to eat. The structure of the industrial buildings converted into lofts is breathtaking. I lost the count on how many times I came here and I allowed myself to get lost and spend all day just discovering new spots around.

          La primavera esta llegando pero al parecer el frio insiste en quedarse con nosotros por el resto del tiempo que le queda, así que decidí jugar con los cambios repentinos de temperatura y usar unos pantalones boyfriend bien anchos con una de mis pieles preferidas de Zadig and Voltaire. Mi ultima compra fueron los lentes de sol que estoy usando en las fotos de la marca Italiana RetroSuperFuture los cuales lo hacen a mano y me parecen fenomenales y únicos. Cada día me sorprendo mas de la gran manzana, cada barrio tiene algo que contar distinto incluso cuando son barrios pegados el uno al otro pueden variar tanto que te dan la sensación de que ni siquiera parecen ser de un mismo lugar. 

          Como esta sesión de fotos la hice en Soho les confieso algunas de mis tiendas preferidas en las cuales me encanta ir de shopping. La calle Broadway es la principal y sin duda tiene un sin fin de marcas para morirse, pero lo que para mi hace particularmente diferente y hermoso el barrio son calles chicas como Mercer, Thompson o Greene entre otras. De verdad que hay demasiadas marcas y lugares donde ir de shopping pero si tuviera que nombrar brevemente algunas de ellas que no se deberían d perder mientras estén por acá son las siguiente: All Saints, Zadig and Voltaire, Open Ceremony, Rag and Bone, RetroSuperFuture, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander Wang, Alexander Mcqueen AshItaly, Barneys y la lista sigue y sigue! También deberían de fijarse siempre en las tiendas vintage que pueden encontrar por todo el barrio y Manhattan en general. Por supuesto que SoHo tiene mucho mas que tan solo compras, como por ejemplo galerías de arte, cafes y lugares para comer con propuestas diferentes y super acogedores. Perdí la cuenta de cuantas veces vine a este barrio en particular a perderme todo el día y encontrar nuevos lugares, y les puedo asegurar que siempre me sorprende y me deja con ganas de mas!

Spring is almost here

     Because spring is around I decided to wear this look and although it's still black, is definitely one of my favorite colors for all seasons, the perfect sensual, practical friend that is never gonna to let you down. Once again this shoot was taken in the Meatpacking District and today as promised I am going to tell you guys my favorite places to have brunch and dinner, the hidden little places that as soon as you walk in you can get the feeling of being a New Yorker.
   My favorite place to brunch is called Bubby's theres one in Meatpacking and another one in Tribeca, I usually stop by the Tribeca because I love the neighborhood (stay tuned for our  next shoot held there!) Another excellent place that never let us down is the brunches at the Standard hotel also in the Meatpack.
  To have dinner my favorite place to have sushi is called Blue Ribbon I go there all the time it's in Soho, ABC kitchen-cuisine is a fusion between american and french place where the kitchen and the decoration makes it so special, great place that you can't miss! And last but not least if you want to go to a fancy and beautiful place try the Mondrian Hotel for a dreamy and romantic dinner!

     Por fin la primavera esta llegando a Nueva York! Por eso mismo decidí usar un mono negro que a pesar de ser el color clásico, definitivamente nunca falla. Una vez mas hicimos fotos en el Barrio Meatpacking justamente porque tiene de los mejores lugares para almorzar desayunar o cenar! Mi lugar preferido para desayunar es definitivamente Bubby's un lugar que une gente muy trendy y un ambiente imperdible, también el desayuno en el hotel Standard es uno de mis favoritos con vistas al rio un lugar muy recomendable. Para cenar, es depende que les gusta pero si están buscando sushi, Blue Ribbon no los va a decepcionar es un pequeño restaurante escondido en Soho, ABC kitchen and cuisine es una fusion entre americano y francés es otro de mis lugares imperdibles, la música el ambiente y la gente hacen que estos lugares los hagan sentirse como un verdadero New Yorker. Si están buscando algo romántico el hotel Mondrian ofrece uno de los lugares mas íntimos en la gran manzana con unos platos super elaborados!
