Off Broadway

I am starting the famous new yorker apartment hunt to move in with two of my closest friends and it's getting stressful especially during finals, so the three of us decided to postpone the search until august. Next month I am traveling to a surprise destination before returning to Uruguay; my beloved country which I miss so much! I can't believe how much my life has been changing during this past year. I've stumbled upon many different things including lots of new and exciting projects. I feel more like a new yorker as each day goes by, I've changed many of my old habits, I've adopted the New York rush and I'm surprisingly punctual to anywhere I go. I incorporate so many exciting plans to my schedule, maybe more than I should, but I still wouldn't change a thing. New York is sometimes stressful, crazy and anything you would like it to be, but it is also incredibly unique and you get to meet amazing people and so many opportunities everywhere. I literally don't see myself living anywhere else right now, and of course for what I do (Fashion Styling) I know I am in one of the most inspiring places on Earth. I am going to recommend you guys some of my must go shows if you ever visit New York! Of course Broadway shows are very popular and worthy, even though I like to see off-Broadway shows too, Once is definitely one of my favorite Broadway shows, an amazing love story! The best show I've ever experienced in my life, is called Sleep No More, it seriously blowed me off my feet, I'm already planning to go back again! It is an interactive play held in a 4 floor Hotel stage. I don't want to spoil it for you guys, because if you are here you definitely should experience it! This outfit I am wearing is defined by the transition from winter to spring, since in New York the cold weather is determined to stay around us. Transparency is one of the current trends right now and white is the color you will want to wear with it. La famosa búsqueda de apartamentos en Nueva York me llego de vuelta, solo que esta vez acompañada de dos de mis amigas mas cercanas, pero debido a que mis entregas finales en Parsons no paran decidimos posponer la búsqueda hasta nuestro retorno en Agosto. Por fin se acerca mi regreso a mi amado país Uruguay, pero antes de ello va a ver un destino sorpresa que no se van a querer perder! No puedo creer como mi vida sigue cambiando constantemente y cuantos proyectos y nuevos trabajos siguen apareciendo. Al comparar mi vida tan solo 1 año atrás a el presente los cambios se reflejan en casi todos los aspectos. Incluso mis hábitos han cambiado como por ejemplo adopte la locura del Neoyorquino por ir corriendo a todos lados, llegar sorprendentemente temprano a todos los lugares a los que asisto y la cantidad de cosas que hago en tan solo 1 día como levantarme hacer una sesión de fotos, ir a la universidad, hacer entrevistas, trabajar, mas las nuevas cosas que se presentan a través del día a día. Por eso mismo Nueva York puede ser estresante y una locura a veces, pero no cambiaría nada porque para lo que yo hago aquí (estilismo de moda, fotografía, diseño y marketing de moda) se que estoy en uno de los mejores lugares del mundo! Tengo que agradecer las oportunidades que me dan y me siguen dando y un especial agradecimiento a Tulle and Glitter, que me hizo mi ultima entrevista impresionante la pueden ver en http://tulleandglitter.com. La tendencia del blanco cada vez es mas y mas notoria especialmente aquí en la Gran Manzana así que estén atentos, especialmente con transparencia como la remera que llevo puesta.

Happy easter ♡

Happy Easter everyone! As a present I received this amazing Maison Michel hat perfect for easter. I also packed all my winter clothes, since spring is getting warmer in New York. I send you guys lots of love, I am working a lot in my finals at Parsons and soon I will be posting the possibility to have a personal shopping day with me as a stylist and answering questions about Parsons you don't want to miss it!                          For the first time in months I could wear a sleeveless dress in New York! I decided to go bold with red and show you guys a coctel/daytime dress you can use this spring. Parsons finals are coming and I am freaking out, but I always try to go out as much as I can over the weekend so I can relax and reload my energies! Today I am going to share with you guys a list of my favorite places to go for a drink, you don't want to miss out on these ones! One of my absolute favorite spots for drinks is Paul's Baby Grand, PhD at the Dream Hotel, the Standard rooftop, Upper Elm in Brooklyn, Apotheke, The Burgeoise Pig and Soho House. Each one of them are quite different from each other but their atmosphere, their elaborated drinks, the vibes and their people are very cool and fun.                           Por primera vez en meses pude usar un vestido sin mangas en Nueva York! Decidi usar un vestido rojo que recientemente adquirí y esta muy bueno para ir a un coctel y/o una salida de día especialmente para la temporada de primavera. Los finales en Parsons comenzaron y ya me estoy volviendo loca con tantas entregas y proyectos, así que para relajarme y recuperar energías que mejor que salir a tomar algo en buena compania? Por eso mismo aquí les dejo la lista de algunos de mis lugares preferidos para ir a tomar algo: Paul's Baby Grand, PhD en el Hotel Dream, el rooftop de el hotel Standard, Upper Elm en Brooklyn con vistas hacia Manhattan, Apotheke un lugar de tragos exóticos perdido en Chinatown, The burgeoise Pig también cuenta con tragos exóticos y picadas deliciosas y por ultimo Soho House pero tienen que contar con membresias para acceder es uno de mis lugares preferidos por su gente y la buena vibra. Blossoms

                     As the days continue to get warmer, the flowers start popping and therefore we can wear more and more seasonal clothing. Spring is definitely my favorite season, it has such a charm and here in New York people love to spend as much time outside of their homes as they can, so everyone goes to the parks and enjoy their families and friends under the sunshine. This shoot was taken in Washington Square Park as I mentioned before one of my favorites because it's right in the middle of the island where everything happens and you can see a lot of people from local New Yorkers to Europeans and even a lot of South Americans just like me! This outfit that I'm wearing is super relaxed and hippie, perfect for after work when you just want to be comfortable but still in style. As you all know pale pink is one of our favorites for this season and an IT color right now, boyfriend jeans never go out of style, specially vintage levi's like i'm using in the pictures. Keep up with our news because we have a little surprise on the 14th!

                       El calor se empieza a sentir cada vez mas en la gran manzana por suerte, las flores empiezan a aparecer, y todo mejora poco a poco, tanto así que gracias a ello podemos empezar a usar ropa mas de temporada. La primavera se ha convertido sin dudas en mi estación del año preferida, tiene un encanto único y especialmente acá en Manhattan ya que la gente de aquí le encanta salir en ocasiones así a los parques con sus familias y/o amigos a disfrutar de los rayos de sol. Esta sesión de fotos se realizo en el parque Washington Square Park, que como ya le había mencionado anteriormente es uno de mis preferidos no solo por el peculiar encanto que tiene con sus músicos y el estilo, sino también porque es un lugar en donde te podes encontrar desde gente local de New York hasta Europeos e incluso mucha gente de Sudamérica al igual que yo! Este conjunto que estoy usando es super hippie y relajado, perfecto para pasear luego del trabajo, cuando uno quiere estar cómodo pero aun con estilo. Como ya todos sabrán el rosado pálido es uno de los elegidos hace ya todo una temporada y me fascina, los pantalones boyfriend son siempre un mas dentro de nuestro closet, especialmente levis vintage como los que traigo puestos. No se olviden de fijarse en el blog el 14 porque les tenemos una gran sorpresa preparada para entonces.

Scottish rules

                   The scottish pattern is taking over the runways since last fall, thanks to designers like Alexander Mcqueen whom he trusted this tendency by being a pioneer in incorporating this style with various twists back in 1996 , even in 2006 when he dressed Sarah Jessica Parker for the Met Gala, do you guys remember that exquisite design? So to honor him I'm using a clutch from one of his latest collections! This shoot was taken near Washington Square Park, in the transition from Greenwich Village to Soho, finally spring is being noticed, and I can start wearing more spring season clothing!
 This days I've been on and off with a lot of work at Parsons, I decided to switch into Strategic Design Management and also do a minor in Fashion Communication, because although I enjoy designing and making garments, my true passion is styling, organizing and having flexibility in everything I do, so if everyone is hesitating about applying to Parsons, let me tell you is a great opportunity and you learn so much without even noticing it! I want to thank Sephora for always styling my make up according to the style I'm wearing!

El estampado escoces es uno de las tendencias preferidas desde el invierno 2013, gracias a diseñadores como Alexander Mcqueen quien confía en esta tendencia desde ya mucho tiempo, recordemos sus primeras colecciones en el 96 super innovadoras hasta cuando vistió a la espectacular Sarah Jessica Parker para el Met Gala. Justamente para honrarlo decidí usar una cartera de su ultima temporada que no paro de usar últimamente! Esta sesión se llevo a cabo cerca de unos de mis parques preferidos llamado Washington Square Park en la transición del barrio Greenwich con Soho. 
Estos dias estuve con muchísimo trabajo de Parsons, uno de las mayores decisiones fue entrar en el programa de estrategia gerencial de diseño y comunicación de moda, porque a pesar que me encanta diseñar y crear atuendos, mi verdadera pasión es el estilismo personal, eventos y editorial. Si alguna/o de ustedes tiene cualquier pregunta sobre como acceder a Parsons una vez mas no duden en preguntarme, estoy a cargo de muchas jóvenes que están aplicando y me super emociona poder ayudar a cumplir sus sueños y expectativas a todos!
