This look, I usually wear it on a Sunday family reunion, it's super low profile and casual. Also I would totally wear it to meet the parents of my boyfriend, angelical, classy and in nude colors. Once you cross Broadway you actually find quiet places in Soho, full of little shops with vintage, candles and perfume boutiques. 

   

     Este look super casual, lo uso para un almuerzo familiar un Domingo, algo super bajo perfil pero a la vez bien vestida. Para mi es como un look para conocer a la familia de tu novio, un poco angelical, clásica y colores pasteles, todos los casilleros llenos! Soho tiene rincones atrás de la Broadway (la principal) super tranquilos y chill, con muchas boutiques que venden desde ropa vintage hasta perfumes y velas super especiales.

    New Yorkers know for a fact that when a new season begins, you must rush to your favorite stores before everything you want disappears! I saw this stunning Acne dress and I couldn't help it, again simple but trendy. The boots are perfect especially for winter because not only they are super comfy but also the rubber stops your from falling all the time in the snow! It's interesting how the older I get the simpler my wardrobe gets, classy is never boring, in fact you can have more spotlight that anyone else trying to caught the attention by being overdressed. Hear your senses, fashion fades every two weeks, so try seeing what is better for you!

Los Neoyorquinos saben bien que cuando la estación cambia, hay que estar preparados para la guerra de buscar lo que queremos en nuestros talles! A pesar de que hay millones de tiendas, la gran mayoría de cosas se van como pan caliente en cuestión de minutos. Este vestido lo encontré hace unos días en Acne, las botas son de Alexander Wang y no pueden ser mas perfectas especialmente para el invierno! Ademas de ser comodisimas y elegantes, la goma que tiene en la suela hace que no te caigas de cola cuando nieva, algo usual en mis inviernos en Nueva York. Es impresionante como a medida que los anos pasan mi ropero se va haciendo mas simple y elegante, creo que nos pasa a todas pero siempre hay una manera de hacerlo bien divertido. Les aseguro que mostrando simpleza de una manera copada como este conjunto se destacan mucho mas que la gente que se sobre viste para llamar la atención! Así que ya que la moda cambia cada dos semanas, haganle caso a su propio estilo y juegensela con lo que les haga sentir mas comodos!

Simpleza

        This is my usual look that I wear to college or work during the day. It's comfy and effortless chic. Take your long boots out, and be prepared to see them a lot this season! The pants I bought them a few months ago, in Rag and Bone and they practically attached to my body in winter! The leather jacket is from All Saints, what I love about this one is that it is skinny fit and you can actually see the figure of the body underneath it. One of my biggest advices for this fall, it's keep it simple, especially right now that minimalism and monochromatic is the thing, because we are about to turn into the color spot wheel into really saturated colors! New York has definitely changed my way of dressing, for example when it comes to color, grey and black is all I crave and have! I really can't say how many different black shoes I own and I know for a fact that people think that I am wearing the same things over and over again, but I do see the differences, so I guess it doesn't really matter, right?
             

       Este es un tipico look que uso para ir a la universidad o a trabajar durante el día, es cómodo y chic sin mucho esfuerzo. Las botas largas me encantan, estoy en mi búsqueda de botas aun mas largas y con tacos! Alguna recomendación? Los pantalones los conseguí hace unos meses en Rag and Bone y están como adheridos a mi piel en invierno! La campera es de All Saints un clásico, lo que me gusta de esta campera en particular es que es al cuerpo y no tan grande como otras que tengo. Mi consejo principal para esta nueva estación es mantenerlo simple y minimalista, estamos a punto de hacer el cambio de los monocromáticos blanco, negro, gris y blanco a puro color así que aprovechen mientras la simpleza abunda. Nueva York definidamente marco un efecto en mi manera de vestir en el sentido que el negro y gris no pueden faltar en mi closet. Perdí la cuenta de cuantos zapatos y vestidos negros tengo, sinceramente hay días que creo que la gente no se entera que estoy usando ropa distinta, pero yo si noto la diferencia así que no importa verdad?

    If you are looking for the perfect casual outfit for fall, a kenzo sweater never fails. I saw this red kenzo at opening ceremony, it is one of the amazing pieces of the new collection! Truth is I can't even enter opening ceremony (one of my favorite stores in Soho), cause I'll probably be broke in a couple of seconds, I just want absolutely everything! Because it's still not that cold I decided to some cool leather shorts, and play with the blue sandals, which actually combine with the tiger! I have to admit that I am a major addict when it comes to match little details,  and let me tell you it's a wise advice combining your outfit in a very sutil way almost as if it wasn't on purpose always.

Si están buscando el look perfecto para otoño, un buzo kenzo nunca esta de mas! Lo encontré en una de mis tiendas preferidas en Soho llamada Opening Ceremony, una tienda muy copada multimarca la cual tiene todas las mejores tendencias, en otras palabras es imposible no fundirse en cuestión de segundos! Estoy aprovechando los días de calor y por eso mismo decidí usar este short de cuero y las sandalias azul eléctrico. Una de las cosas que suelo ser adicta al vestirme es combinar de manera sutil los outfits, aunque sea un detalle como en este caso, en el cual combine el tigre a los zapatos. Es un consejo sabio que nunca falla!

             Parsons always makes me run up and down throughout all Manhattan looking for new materials, cool spots, and of course museums and galleries for inspiration are never an exception. The MET is one of my favorite places on earth, I started loving fashion at a very young age because of art. My journey started when I was just a little girl in the Museo del Prado in Madrid, I couldn't stop staring at Velazquez paintings, and one of the things that stayed for years in my mind was the dresses that the girls were wearing. This time I chose to change background material and do it in front of the MET. I could probably tell you a thousand stories like this, but since I don't want to bore you with my stories, i'll move on!
            The outfit that I am wearing is a classic but thanks to the bomber jacket it adds the perfect twist to it, making it stand out with the crazy mouth that made me fall in love with it. When you are wearing a cool jacket you should never try to wear any t-shirt that competes with it. Always choose one or two items that you want to show off and combine it with a monochrome color.

         Debido a que Parsons me tiene corriendo básicamente todos los días en Manhattan de arriba a abajo en busca de materiales, lugares copados y por supuesto museos y galerías para inspirarme diariamente, elegí la fachada del MET (uno de mis lugares preferidos en el mundo) para usar como fondo. Otra de las razones por las cuales elegí este gran museo es debido a mi pasión por el arte, y así aprovechar para contarles un poco mas sobre mi. Cuando era nina tuve la oportunidad de hacer un viaje a el Museo del Prado en Madrid, y aun lo recuerdo como si hubiese sido ayer. Toda mi familia pensaba que me iba a aburrir pero para la absoluta sorpresa de todos los que estaban conmigo quería volver al día siguiente! Me acuerdo haberme quedado deslumbrada por Velazquez y que lo que mas me llamaba la atención era mi locura por mirar los vestidos de las meninas. En fin esta es una de las mil razones por las cuales me fascina la moda y motivo por el cual vivo y respiro de la misma.
          El conjunto que me arme esta vuelta es clásico pero la campera le agrega esa manera fácil y descuidada de hacerlo un look juvenil y que se adapta a varias situaciones, como por ejemplo ir a trabajar o a tomar algo con amigos. Un gran consejo a tener en cuenta es que nunca deberían usar muchas cosas importantes juntas. Elijan una o dos y usen colores básicos como el blanco, gris, negro o cualquier color que haga juego con lo que quieran destacar, de esta manera no compite sino que armoniza y hace que el conjunto quede copado. Siempre recuerden que menos es mas!

Transition

   Unfortunately Summer has gone, and autumn has officially arrived. I'm really hoping that winter is not going to hit us hard as it did last year, but I do love all the seasons. Especially in NYC the time were you get to play and wear lots of layers. Aren't you in love with my sporty skirt as much as I am? I saw it in one of my favorite stores lately IRO and I just couldn't resist, it combines the two tendencies that are going on right now, grey, white and sporty casual look. In this case I tried to make it even more casual by wearing this shirt and the white converse, but you could perfectly go out at night too with it.

   Lamentablemente el verano nos dejo oficialmente, dejando así lugar para el otoño en Nueva York. A pesar de que me encanta el verano, en Nueva York tengo que admitir que siempre es emocionante todas las estaciones, a no ser que nos hagamos cubito como el año pasado va estar todo bien! No están todos ultra enamorados con esta pollera? La encontré en IRO una de mis tiendas preferidas por el momento y no me pude resistir! Combina todas las tendencias, de una manera que no había visto antes. Por supuesto el blanco y gris son los colores del momento, y me pareció copado destacar que en el verano se uso mucho el blanco sobre blanco como se los había presentado desde un principio, y por ultimo el aire deportivo que tiene no puede mas. La remera es una remera característica también de la marca IRO. Los zapatos me parecieron un hit porque son de cuero blanco y van a la perfección con el look.  Que les parece?

fashion week day 3

Because this year the catwalks are being held in different places, the atmosphere this time was different from the ones in the past. I have to say that I was surprised on how many people went in gowns, and I truly think that it's perfectly fine to take the most outrageous and fun clothes for an event like the NYFW but if you are always dressing that way, if not the essence is lost, and your outfit looks like another silly and ridiculous gown. You know is fashion week when you see all over super skinny and perfect models everywhere, and then the ugly truth comes and you start eating salads for nothing cause, truth is you'll never be as perfect as they are! I must say that one of the things that I love the most about fashion week here in New York is how people dress so fancy and the tendencies start showing, because is not only what happens inside of those amazing tents, but also the street style that you see. I personally saw a lot of monochromatic and of course white and grey! Stay tuned because the so called web page that is taking forever is around the corner.

No hay nada mas lindo que vivir en Nueva York, especialmente en esta época. El feeling que hay es tan emocionante que no me deja ni dormir. Como todos sabrán este ano los desfiles se separaron en distintas localizaciones como suele pasar en otras pasarelas como Paris y Londres usualmente, por lo tanto el Lincoln Center no tuvo el placer de recibir a todos los diseñadores, obvio tiene sus pros y contras, lo bueno es que lo hacen desde un lado mucho mas artístico al hacerlo en lugares copados con distinto tipo de estructuras, lo malo es que al no estar concentrado en un solo lugar pierde un poco la esencia. Uno sabe instantáneamente que es la semana de la moda al ver caminar por todos los barrios a esas modelos perfectas con un lomo que todos sonamos! Uno inconscientemente se miente y come ensalada toda la semana, nos va a tomar un poco mas de esfuerzo que eso! Una de las cosas que  me llamo la atención es la cantidad de gente que estaba disfrazada, obviamente la semana de la moda es el momento perfecto de mostrar un outfit original y loco pero no cuando uno no se viste en la diaria de esa manera, porque en ese caso me parece un patético caso de querer llamar la atención a gritos. De todas maneras siempre esta la gente con un talento y sensibilidad por la moda que nos deja de boca abierta, vi mucho monocromático, blanco por supuesto y gris. Les prometo que la pagina va a estar saliendo prontito, nos llevo mucho tiempo ya que va a ser una bomba, o eso espero!
